Job summary

GXO is seeking a dedicated and safety-focused Shunter Driver to join our logistics team at the Diageo site in Runcorn. In this role you’ll move trailers safely across the site to support production and distribution operations, in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

This full-time role operates on a 4 on 4 off cycle with 12-hour night shifts from 19:00 to 07:00; the site runs 24/7/363, with occasional day shifts when required.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Category C+E.
• No more than 6 penalty points; no DD, DR, DG, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Experience with shunting operations using a Terberg shunt unit.
• Strong commitment to safety, compliance and driving regulations.

Responsibilities

• Shunt trailers across the site, including keg loading and end-of-line loading.
• Couple and uncouple trailers using Terberg shunt units.
• Support production by shunting Diageo tankers and trailers for glass and cans.
• Maintain trailer supply for keg and THT operations.
• Complete trailer checks and census at shift start and prepare configuration sheets before dispatch.
