Oak Furnitureland is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in the United Kingdom to lead showroom sales, coach staff, and drive performance while collaborating with the Store Manager. You will recruit, train, and develop a high‑performing team and ensure compliance across health and safety, finance, and regulatory standards.

With uncapped commission of up to 4% on all sales, you will contribute to a dynamic, customer‑focused retail environment, supported by employee benefits and development

Qualifications

• Lead and develop a high‑performing showroom sales team.
• Drive showroom profitability and target achievement.
• Coach Retail Sales Advisors and Assistants through feedback and training.
• Recruit and onboard sales staff following guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, finance, and regulatory policies.
• Use product knowledge to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Own showroom sales performance and ensure targets are met.
• Develop a culture that meets and exceeds targets.
• Support performance improvement through coaching and reviews.
• Recruit and onboard sales staff per guidelines.
• Ensure showroom compliance with FCA, GDPR, stock control.
• Maintain a safe, engaging trading environment and displays.
• Share product knowledge to enhance customer experience.
• Process customer data compliantly with Oak procedures.
• Promote omnichannel journeys using digital tools.
• Manage daily showroom operations and team meetings.
• Collaborate with Visual Merchandising to keep displays fresh.
• Foster teamwork and open communication.
• Develop colleagues with available tools and resources.
• Analyse sales data to drive strategies.
