Job summary

Oak Furnitureland is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead showroom sales, coach staff, and drive profitability. You will act as a brand ambassador, managing KPIs, health and safety, and stock while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

In this role you’ll partner with the Store Manager, oversee recruitment, onboarding and training, and ensure a seamless omnichannel journey for customers. A strong consultative selling approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven track record leading a retail sales team in a high turnover environment.
• Ability to coach and develop team members to hit targets.
• Strong commercial mindset with a consultative sales approach.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience managing showroom profitability and health and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of showroom sales performance to achieve targets.
• Develop a culture where staff meet and exceed goals.
• Coach Retail Sales Advisors and Assistant Store Managers with clear feedback.
• Recruit and onboard industry-leading staff per guidelines.
• Ensure showroom compliance with safety, finance, FCA, GDPR, and stock control.
• Maintain a safe, inviting trading environment and up-to-date displays.
• Share product knowledge to enhance customer experience and omnichannel journey.
• Utilise systems to process customer information compliantly.
• Coordinate with Visual Merchandising to keep displays current.
• Lead regular team meetings and develop colleagues for growth.
• Analyze sales data and market trends to drive profitability.
