Job summary

Oak Furnitureland in Brighton is seeking a Retail Sales Advisor to be the brand ambassador in our showroom. You will help customers choose furniture and accessories, applying consultative sales methods, sharing product knowledge, and delivering an exceptional shopping experience.

This role offers up to 4% uncapped commission on sales, 40 hours per week over 5 days, with some weekend work and a strong focus on achieving targets.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in customer-facing environments with a focus on retail sales.
• Knowledge of sales models and following established sales processes.
• Strong questioning and listening skills with persuasive communication.
• Experience working in high-performing teams and contributing to success.
• Proven track record of meeting stretch goals and KPIs.
• Understanding of how customer experience affects metrics like NPS and Trustpilot.
• Awareness of furniture industry trends, Oak Furnitureland USPs and competitors.
• Familiar with regulatory frameworks affecting retail sectors.
• Understanding factors influencing customer purchasing decisions.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional customer experience by sharing expert knowledge of Oak Furnitureland's product range.
• Follow the Retail Sales Model to recommend products based on customer needs.
• Contribute to higher customer satisfaction and loyalty through great service.
• Consistently achieve personal sales and performance KPIs.
• Collaborate with Store Manager and Assistant Manager to foster an inclusive team culture.
• Work with Visual Merchandising and Facilities to maintain a safe showroom.
• Engage with partners to support development plans and business growth.
• Deliver and follow Oak Furnitureland processes, policies, and procedures.
• Stay informed on internal and external factors impacting trade and customer experience.
• Utilize training materials and communications to keep product knowledge current.
• Encourage an omnichannel journey by recommending digital resources to assist purchases.
