Job summary

Savills Environmental Services is seeking an Environmental Cleaning Operative for day and afternoon shifts in a shopping centre environment in Leicester. You will perform cleaning and waste management duties across designated mall areas while maintaining a professional image with staff, suppliers, and customers. The role requires experience in cleaning and waste handling, reliability, and the ability to work to a schedule within a team.

Training may be provided where needed. Salary: £12.71/hr.

Qualifications

• Waste management and/or cleaning experience preferred, training can be provided.
• Reliable and hardworking with a professional attitude.
• Ability to work to a schedule and as part of a team.
• Capable of using own initiative where appropriate.
• Honest and self-driven with a focus on service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide cleaning and waste management for the Upper & Lower Mall areas, maintaining a professional client-facing image.
• Maintain designated areas to meet client standards and report to Savills supervisors.
• Assist with cleaning duties and related tasks as directed by Savills team leaders.
• Be flexible to changing daily priorities and shifts.
• Be knowledgeable of all cleaning tasks at shift start to follow the current scheduled activity.
• Be aware of building layout to service internal or external areas.
• Prioritize urgent tasks to complete within set time frames.
• Escalate issues to Savills team leaders and managers.
