Job summary

ABM is seeking a dedicated Cleaning Operative at Eastgate Shopping Centre in the UK. The role involves maintaining cleanliness and presentation, delivering planned and reactive cleaning services, and supporting a professional team dedicated to a safe, welcoming environment for visitors and retailers.

Hours follow a 5 days on, 2 days off pattern, with a 40-hour week and a pay rate of £13.41 per hour. Full training is provided, and ABM offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the shopping centre.
• Clean and sanitise lifts, including stainless steel surfaces, lift doors, frames, runners, and mirrors.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain floor surfaces throughout public and back-of-house areas.
• Clean and sanitise washrooms and staff facilities, replenishing consumables as required.
• Empty waste bins and manage waste disposal in accordance with site procedures.
• Set up, maintain, and safely store cleaning equipment and materials.
• Monitor assigned areas and proactively address cleaning requirements.
• Respond promptly to spillages and other reactive cleaning tasks.
• Support Team Leaders and Supervisors to ensure service excellence.
• Complete all required training and comply with Health & Safety procedures and company policies.
• Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
