Job summary

Anchor Group Services is seeking a Cleaning Supervisor (Maternity Cover) to lead the daily cleaning operations at Gloucester Quays. You will supervise the team, allocate tasks, and ensure high standards match contract requirements and site specifications.

This hands-on role requires practical cleaning know-how, COSHH and safety compliance, and the ability to train and coach staff. You’ll report to the Contract Manager, cover weekends/bank holidays as needed, and support audits, KPI reporting,

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a commercial cleaning operation.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Practical knowledge of cleaning methods, chemicals and equipment.
• COSHH and health & safety compliance experience.
• Ability to train staff and conduct inductions.
• Experience in busy public environments and audits/KPI reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily cleaning operations and allocate tasks to maintain high standards.
• Lead, motivate and develop the cleaning team with coaching and briefings.
• Coordinate planned and reactive cleaning, including deep cleans and events.
• Ensure all areas remain clean, safe and presentable to customers and staff.
• Manage equipment checks, stock levels and waste handling per procedures.
• Deliver excellent customer service and act as site ambassador.
• Ensure health, safety and COSHH compliance and complete records.
