Job summary

Wenzel’s the Bakers in Greater London is seeking a Shop Supervisor to support the Shop Manager, supervise the team, and help deliver high-quality fresh food and excellent customer service.

The role offers £13.00 per hour for a 25-hour week over three days, with flexible shifts where possible, extensive training, progression opportunities, pension, 28 days holiday, and staff discounts. Experience in retail or food production is welcome, with full training provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment at supervisory level is required.
• Experience working in food production would be advantageous but not essential as full ongoing training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and create an inviting experience.
• Receive and check daily deliveries.
• Assist with branch stock and produce management.
• Maintain shop displays.
• Have excellent knowledge and understanding of products.
• Prepare food in line with the specification.
• Food and produce quality control.
• Maintain hygiene and food safety standards.
• Work efficiently within a team.
• Cash handling and till operation.
• Open or close the shop when required.
• Run shifts at various times during the week.
• Drive sales and minimise wastage.
