Job summary

A local charity organization in Carlisle is looking for a part-time Retail Assistant to enhance customer experience and support its retail operations. Responsibilities include managing shop income through stock control and delivering excellent customer service. Candidates should have at least 1 year of retail experience and be great communicators. What you’ll be doing:

• Working within our shops, boosting shop income with stock control, merchandising and great customer service
• Helping launch pop-up shops and expanding our e-commerce
• Helping to manage rotas, shop van collections and volunteer drivers
• Coordinating Gift Aid & supporting income reporting
• Delivering a fantastic customer experience every day

What we’re looking for:

• 1+ year retail experience
• Confident, organised & a great communicator
• Friendly team leader with a heart for helping others
• Skilled in multitasking & admin
• Positive attitude & full of fresh ideas

Bonus if you have:

• Retail Gift Aid / online sales knowledge
• Experience with budgets or shop management

Hours: 22.5 per week (worked 3 days across our 7-day trading operation)

Pay: £14,957.66 (FTE £24,929.44), hourly rate of £12.75
