Job summary

Willowbrook Hospice is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Shop Supervisor to support the day-to-day running of our Prescot shop and help maximise income that directly supports hospice care across our community. As part of our Retail Team, you'll play an important role in creating a welcoming shopping experience, supporting volunteers and ensuring our shops continue to thrive.

This is a varied and rewarding position where no two days are the same. From supervising volunteers and merchandising stock to supporting sales initiatives and managing shop operations, you'll help ensure every donation and purchase makes a real difference.

Your Responsibilities

• Supporting the day-to-day operation of the shop and providing cover in the absence of the Shop Manager.
• Supervising, supporting and training volunteers to create a positive and engaging environment.
• Maximising sales through effective merchandising, stock management and Gift Aid promotion.
• Delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high retail standards.
• Assisting with stock distribution across the hospice retail network and supporting online sales activities.
• Building strong relationships within the local community to increase support for the Hospice.

About You

• Has previous supervisory or management experience, ideally within a retail or customer service environment.
• Enjoys leading and motivating volunteers and working with a wide range of people.
• Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Is proactive, dependable and able to work on their own initiative.
• Delivers outstanding customer service and has a positive, can-do attitude.
• Is flexible and willing to support across multiple retail locations when required.
