Job summary

The Wardrobe in Worcester is seeking a Shop Manager to lead our first dedicated menswear shop. You will oversee daily operations, inspire a team of volunteers and drive sales while delivering excellent customer service.

Join us to combine retail leadership with a meaningful cause, helping raise vital funds for St Richard’s Hospice and supporting patients and families across Worcestershire. This is a permanent role with 37.5 hours per week, based in Worcester.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills and a genuine passion for helping people.
• Significant experience in retail or a customer-focused environment, with team leadership or management experience.
• The ability to motivate, support and work collaboratively with a team of volunteers.
• A commercial mindset, with confidence working with figures, monitoring performance and achieving financial targets.
• Initiative, creativity and an eye for presenting products in an appealing way.

Responsibilities

• Driving sales and success – achieving income targets, maximising sales and making commercially informed decisions.
• Creating an inspiring shopping experience – designing attractive shop layouts and eye-catching window displays that showcase quality menswear.
• Finding hidden gems – encouraging high-quality stock donations and ensuring clothing and accessories are presented at their best.
• Leading and inspiring people – recruiting, supporting and motivating a team of volunteers to deliver excellent customer service.
• Keeping things running smoothly – overseeing daily operations, stock deliveries and collections, banking and general shop management.
