Job summary

St Richard's Worcester shops are seeking individuals to cover across our shops with flexible, as-needed hours. You’ll assist in achieving income targets, maximising sales and supporting our charity mission in Worcestershire.

This role requires retail management or supervisory experience, the ability to lead and develop a team, and a passion for customer service and visual merchandising. DBS check is required.

Job description

We are looking for individuals to work across our Worcester shops providing cover for the existing shops teams. Working days and hours will be flexible and on an 'as and when required' basis and could be combined with the other work commitments.

Our retail roles are full of variety and can range from using your creativity and flair in all aspects of merchandising the shop, to then, recruiting and training our wonderful team of shop volunteers.

You will assist in achieving set income targets and maximising sales, where you can make a real difference in contributing to the income generation for St Richard's Hospice and raise the funds needed to provide care to patients and loved ones across Worcestershire.

St Richard's Hospice currently have 20 shops throughout Worcestershire, which achieved a turnover of £3.5m last year through the sale of good quality clothes, bric-a-brac, books and furniture, donated by local people.

About you

We're looking for someone who has:

• Proven retail management or supervisory experience.
• Experience leading, motivating and developing a successful team.
• Strong commercial awareness with a passion for achieving sales targets.
• Excellent customer service skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
• A creative flair for visual merchandising and attractive shop displays.
• Great organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Retail experience is essential for the role.

Charity retail experience is desirable for the role.
