Job summary

ST RICHARDS HOSPICE FOUNDATION in Pershore is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager to join our busy charity shop team.

You will deputise for the Shop Manager, oversee merchandising, recruit and train volunteers, and drive income targets to support care for patients across Worcestershire.

The role requires retail experience with leadership, a proactive, customer‑focused approach, and an Enhanced DBS check; 30 hours across 4 days including weekends, with a competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience and working knowledge within a retail environment, ideally with team leader or management experience.
• Ability to work cohesively and motivate a team.
• Creative eye for fabulous shop displays.
• Enhanced DBS check required.
• Role may involve supervision of volunteers under 18.

Responsibilities

• Assist in running the Pershore Shop and deputise for the Shop Manager.
• Merchandising the shop and recruiting/training volunteers.
• Help achieve income targets and maximise sales to support the hospice.
