Job summary

The Air Ambulance Service is seeking a Shop Manager for our new Corby pop-up shop on a 12-month FTC, 40-hour week.

You will oversee daily store activity, drive sales, manage stock and a small team, and uphold high customer service while supporting a lifesaving mission. This is a hands-on retail leadership role with weekend work and a DBS check; the charity offers generous benefits and a supportive, purpose-driven culture.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in retail management or a similar customer-facing role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and occasional additional hours as required.
  • Time-management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily Store activities to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
  • Analyse sales trends and develop strategies to improve performance
  • Provide ongoing training and coaching to improve customer service and engagement
  • Manage store budgets and monitor expenses
  • Planning and managing deliveries and collections
  • Operating the agreed stock rotation system and pricing structure
  • Ensuring an efficient back-room operation
  • Delivery of budgeted sales targets and maximising profit
  • Creating a welcoming atmosphere for customers and the shop team
  • Creating a store layout that in line with brand guidelines

What You'll Be Doing:
