Talgo, Inc. seeks an Electrical Shop Manager in Milwaukee, WI. Responsibilities include supervising workers and overseeing electrical systems on trains.
The manager will supervise and coordinate work for the Electrical and Commissioning Department on electrical panels, cabinets, electrical equipment, wiring, harnesses, and other systems. They will ensure compliance with company policies and regulations such as FRA, OSHA, EPA, FDA, AAR, among others. The role includes managing budgets and schedules, interpreting engineering documents and technical papers, monitoring parts usage, maintaining tools, and recommending process improvements. The manager will also oversee manufacturing schedules, adjust work procedures, and serve as the technical expert on all electrical systems and equipment.
The responsibilities further include interviewing and hiring employees, directing work, coordinating with managers, handling performance evaluations, organizing and conducting technician training, and other supervisory duties.
Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in manufacturing/operations management, industrial, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering or related fields, along with 36 months of experience in manufacturing management, industrial, manufacturing, electrical, or electronics engineering/systems, or related areas. Additionally, 36 months of experience in manufacturing management, industrial/electrical maintenance, diagnosing electronic systems is required. Proficiency in Spanish is preferred.
