Job summary

Sue Ryder Care in Birmingham is seeking a Shop Assistant to support the Harborne store on Sundays, contributing to sales, donor service and community engagement. You will help maintain merchandising, stock and health & safety standards while promoting Sue Ryder campaigns and initiatives.

This part-time role offers a 6.5-hour Sunday shift (9:30am–4:30pm) at £12.71 per hour, with 1 in 2 weekends worked and a strong work-life balance in a fulfilling charity setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail sales and cash handling.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain shop standards and merchandising.
• Familiarity with EPOS systems and stock control.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and income to meet targets.
• Provide excellent service to customers and donors.
• Help build community relationships to source quality donated stock.
• Maintain high standards of merchandising, housekeeping and health & safety.
• Manage stock and EPOS processes to keep shop fresh and well presented.
• Champion the Sue Ryder brand in-store campaigns and fundraising initiatives.
