Job summary

Public House Group is opening a new general store in Charlbury. We are building a small team ahead of opening later this year, with roles starting from mid-November. The Shop Assistant will support daily operations, ensure excellent service, and help the team deliver a welcoming guest experience.

You will handle food safety and alcohol procedures, learn product ranges, and contribute to a positive, collaborative workplace. Opportunities for growth and training are available.

• Supporting the Shop Management in the daily operation of the shop.
• Maintaining a positive workplace and delivering exceptional and consistent levels of service and communication.
• Appropriate food handling and responsible service of alcohol as well as emergency procedures.
• Conduct opening and closing procedures, ensuring operational readiness at all times.
• Knowing the shop product and being able to make recommendations.
