Job summary

Public House Group is opening a new general store in Charlbury and seeks a Shop Assistant to join the team. You will help run the shop daily, deliver friendly service and accurate information to guests, and support opening and closing procedures.

The role offers an opportunity to grow with a developing brand and gain hands-on experience in retail hospitality. You should bring a positive, proactive attitude, strong communication, and a real interest in creating a welcoming guest experience.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or hospitality experience preferred.
• Friendly, proactive and reliable.
• Ability to work weekends.

Responsibilities

• Support shop management in daily operations.
• Deliver consistent customer service and communication.
• Handle food safety and responsible service of alcohol where applicable.
• Perform opening and closing procedures and maintain readiness.
• Know products and provide recommendations.
