Job summary

Red Recruit Global is seeking an experienced Seafreight Import Operator in West Yorkshire. The role covers end-to-end shipment management, liaising with lines, agents and customers to ensure timely delivery.

You will handle documentation, customs coordination and quotation requests while maintaining proactive communication with clients and internal teams to deliver a high standard of service.

Qualifications

• Experience in Seafreight Import operations within a freight forwarding environment.
• Good understanding of import procedures, shipping documentation and customs requirements.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with a proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage Seafreight Import shipments from origin through to final delivery.
• Liaise with shipping lines, overseas agents, hauliers and customers.
• Arrange collections, deliveries and onward transportation.
• Prepare and process shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading.
• Coordinate customs clearance and ensure all necessary documentation is in place.
• Provide quotations and respond to customer enquiries.
• Monitor shipment progress and provide regular updates.
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure a smooth and efficient service.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Seafreight Import Operator to join a well-established freight forwarding and supply chain company based in West Yorkshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a solid background in Ocean Freight Imports who enjoys managing shipments from start to finish, building customer relationships and working within a busy operational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Seafreight Import shipments from origin through to final delivery.
• Liaise with shipping lines, overseas agents, hauliers and customers.

• Commercially aware, proactive and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
