Job description

The primary responsibility of the temporary Shipping Clerk is to manage the outbound orders and invoicing function. You will be liaising with the freight forwarder, understanding and providing the required documentation, knowing and following the DOT and import/export regulations, and ensuring all system transactions and invoicing are processed in a timely fashion.

What you’ll do:

• Ensure the proper documentation has been provided to the provider and carrier based on customer, product, and DOT requirements
• Verify, adjust and maintain records on outgoing shipments and perform all system transactions to accurately reflect transportation activities
• Communicate regularly with the provider on orders (new, changed or cancelled)
• Work closely with the provider, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Quality and Operations to ensure customer requirements are being met, and elevate issues as they arise
• Interrogate data systems and generate reports for management reporting and using Microsoft Excel on a daily basis, to track order progress and analyse data
