Job description

We have an opening for a Corporate Service Clerk supporting our Yellowknife office, working remotely from our Edmonton office. The Corporate Service clerk is an essential role in assisting professionals in their day-to-day work.

Duties + Responsibilities
  • Preparation of Annual Return packages for Northwest Territories, Nunavut and Yukon
  • Manually preparing documentation relating to:
  • Business names renewals (Northwest Territories and Yukon);
  • Notices of Change of Directors (extra-territorial, domestic);
  • Notices of Change of Registered Office (extra-territorial, domestic);
  • Notices of Change of Head Office (extra-territorial).
  • Familiar with Industry Canada – Corporations Branch filings and searches.
  • Corporate searches - Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Yukon, Federal and other jurisdictions.
  • ALF database entry and updates, etc.
  • Northwest Territories, Nunavut and Yukon Society or Non-Profit entity maintenance.
  • Reminders on outstanding matters including outstanding accounts.
  • Opening files.
  • Interaction and servicing lawyers, internal staff, and clients.
  • Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications + Skills
  • Legal Assistant/Paralegal Diploma or related education.
  • 3+ years’ experience working in a law firm or similar professional setting.
  • Knowledge of ALF is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent follow-up and bring-forward skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem solving with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and handle high pressure deadlines.
