Marella Cruises seeks an experienced Tiler to join the Marella Discovery 2 on a shipboard assignment. The role requires STCW95 certification, strong carpentry and maintenance skills, and the ability to work in confined spaces with a focus on safety.

Embarkation is scheduled for December 16, 2026, with a contract duration of about 9 months. Applicants must have prior shipboard experience and be physically fit, ready to live and work at sea under Deck supervision.

Qualifications

• Valid STCW95 certification.
• Appropriate certification as required by regulations.
• Good understanding of carpentry, woodwork, maintenance and repair.
• Extensive experience in subordinate positions and on board passenger ships in a similar role.
• Physically and medically fit.
• Moral integrity is required.
• Coast Guard, Port State Control and Public Health experience.

Responsabilités

• Executes general maintenance, repair, installation and upkeep of material equipment.
• Familiar with lifesaving, fire-fighting and pollution prevention equipment.
• Builds or repairs cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors or other fixtures and fittings.
• Maintenance and repair of furniture in guest and crew areas (rooms, public areas, bars, theater, lounges, restaurants).
• Maintains a clean and orderly working area.
• Attends mooring during arrival and departure.
• Responsible for potable water connection and equipment; maintains Public Health standards.
• Installs and repairs carpets and tiles as per Staff Captain.
• Supports safety drills and follows safety regulations.
• Ensures proper stowage of materials and equipment; keeps inventory.
