Job summary

V.Group seeks an experienced IT Officer to join the Magellan Discoverer on a contract basis. The role covers day-to-day shipboard IT operations, maintenance, and support, reporting to the Chief Engineer and Hotel Director for relevant matters.

Embarkation is available on 06 January 2027. Candidates must hold STCW 95, an Associate Degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent, and have proven IT Officer experience on passenger vessels.

Qualifications

• STCW certificates and medical fitness certification are required.
• Experience as IT Officer on passenger/cruise vessels is required.
• Strong English communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural onboard team.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day shipboard IT operations and provide systems support and maintenance.
• Coordinate with shore IT on technology projects and updates.
• Maintain and monitor shipboard computer networks and IT infrastructure.
