Job summary

VGroup is seeking an experienced Safety Officer to join the cruise vessel MAGELLAN DISCOVERER. You will oversee vessel safety for guests and crew, enforce policies, and ensure compliance with national and international standards.

The role requires STCW95 and CoC A-II/2, along with extensive on-board safety leadership and English language proficiency. You will report to the Staff Captain and Master, coordinating four Able Seaman, three Fire Patrol, and one Daily Fireman.

Qualifications

• STCW95 certification must be valid.
• CoC A-II/2 must be valid.
• Extensive on-board safety experience on passenger ships is required.

Responsibilities

• Participates in crew and passenger safety drills.
• Complies with safety regulations and procedures.
• Leads health and safety for self and others.
• Trains and supervises use of PPE and safety devices.
