Latham Timber in Leeds is seeking a Transport Planner (Mid Shift) to join the transport department. You will generate and oversee daily vehicle manifests and assist the site transport manager with tasking during your shift.

The role emphasizes safe, efficient operations to ensure goods reach customers quickly and in good condition. You will supervise warehouse tasks, check loads, manage stock labeling, and support the team with training and performance development.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar transport planning role.
• Knowledge of timber/wood materials is beneficial.
• Numeracy and literacy skills required.
• Counter Balance FLT licence preferred.
• Able to use computer/tablet for records.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee manifest generation during your shift.
• Check vehicle loads and ensure accuracy before dispatch.
• Update stock inventory after receiving or dispatching.
• Label and rack stock and ensure correct identification.
• Plan loading to meet safety and manifest requirements.
• Assist with stock takes and warehouse housekeeping.
• Support transport manager with people management and discipline when needed.
• Promote a safe working environment and report hazards.
