Job summary

H9 Talent Solutions is recruiting a Shift Team Leader to support safe and efficient operation of an industrial processing facility in Atherstone. You will lead the shift team, monitor plant performance and coordinate with maintenance to keep operations running reliably.

This is a hands-on role for an experienced shift leader or senior operator ready to progress, with rotating days and nights and training opportunities. An annual bonus is awarded in addition to the salary.

Qualifications

• Experience in power generation, energy, waste treatment or similar industrial environments.
• Previous shift leadership or supervisory experience.
• Familiarity with SCADA or DCS control systems.
• Practical knowledge of permit-to-work systems and safe working procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead and organise the shift team to ensure safe, efficient plant operations.
• Operate and monitor plant through SCADA, identify and respond to operational issues.
• Manage permit-to-work activities including isolations and lock-off procedures.
• Maintain compliance with environmental permits and site health and safety procedures.
• Respond calmly and effectively to incidents and emergencies.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams and contractors during repairs, maintenance and outages.
• Use the maintenance system to record issues and support maintenance planning.
• Train and mentor shift colleagues and contribute to plant improvements.
