Job summary

MC Technical Recruitment is seeking a Shift Team Leader in Brigg to ensure safe operation and environmental performance of the plant, and to safeguard site security.

You will supervise the shift team, enforce site safety rules, maintain an accurate shift log in CMMS, and provide support for planned outages. Degree in engineering and NEBOSH are preferred, with experience in 33kV HV switching and electrical distribution.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering required.
• NEBOSH certificate required.
• Practical thermal plant knowledge essential.
• Experience with permit systems, electrical distribution, protection and HV switching (33kV).
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure plant operates safely within safety, environmental and operational limits.
• Adopt and enact site safety rules including isolation of mechanical/electrical plant.
• Provide supervision and development of the shift team, and manage individual and team performance.
• Maintain an accurate shift log and ensure defects/works are recorded in CMMS.
• Provide operational support for planned outages.

MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit a Shift Team Leader to ensure safe operational and environmental performance of the plant and security of the site

As an Shift Team Leader, you will be responsible for:

• Ensure the plant is operated with respect to safety, environmental and operational limits at all times
• Accountable for adopting and enacting roles within the site safety rules, including the isolation of mechanical plant and electrical apparatus
• Provide overall supervision and development of the shift team, including managing individual and team performance
• Responsible for maintaining an accurate and comprehensive shift log and ensuring all defects/works are recorded within the sites CMMS
• Provide operational support for all planned outages as required

To be considered for this role you should have:

• Degree educated within an engineering discipline
• NEBOSH certificate
• High level of practical thermal plant knowledge
• Experience in permit systems, electrical distribution, protection and HV switching (33kV)
• Able to build and develop strong relationships within multiple internal and external teams
