Viridor Limited invites applications for a Shift Team Leader at Ardley. You will lead the shift teams to ensure safe operation and high performance of the Energy from Waste facility, while maintaining strict health, safety and environmental standards.

You will act as Senior Authorised Person (SAP), manage permits to work, and drive continuous improvement in safety, reliability, and efficiency across the plant.

Competenze

• Experience in power generation or energy-from-waste facilities.
• Experience issuing Permits to Work and Safe Systems of Work.
• Strong health, safety and environmental compliance knowledge.

Mansioni

• Lead shift teams to operate the ERF plant safely and efficiently.
• Maximise plant availability, waste throughput and energy output in line with KPIs.
• Plan and prioritise workloads; organise shift cover and staffing levels.
• Support team development through performance reviews and coaching.
• Manage Safe System of Work as Senior Authorised Person (SAP) and issue permits to work.
• Oversee incident investigations, drive corrective actions, and manage emergency response.
• Ensure environmental permit compliance and maintain CMMS records for maintenance tasks.
• Lead effective shift handovers and team briefings; promote continuous safety improvements.
