Job summary

Viridor Energy Ltd in Exeter, Devon, is recruiting for a Shift Team Leader to lead a 24/7 ERF operations shift. You will oversee Shift Operator Technicians and Auxiliary Plant Operators, manage Safe System of Work, and drive plant performance, safety, and environmental compliance.

The role reports to the Operations Manager and requires SAP status or progression toward it. We offer a salary of £65,363 per annum plus shift allowance and an annual bonus, plus benefits, with a 40-hour week and

Qualifications

• Experience in process plant, energy-from-waste or similar industrial environment.
• Experience issuing Permits to Work and Safe Systems of Work.
• Leadership of shift teams and operational excellence.
• SAP status or ability to achieve SAP.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise shift teams to ensure safe, efficient operation of the ERF plant.
• Oversee Safe System of Work and Permit to Work processes.
• Drive plant performance, waste throughput and energy generation.
• Coordinate shift handovers and maintain effective inter-team communication.
• Participate in on-call rota and weekend coverage when required.
