Job summary

Farnell Farnell, an Avnet company, is seeking a Shift Supervisor for our Leeds Distribution Centre. The role focuses on coaching teams, managing packing, shipping and stock handling, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

You will work in our newly built facility at Logic Industrial Park, Leeds 9, supporting day-to-day operations and ensuring high service levels for our electronic supply customers.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Distribution or Warehouse facility is essential and you should be a people person who can manage a team.
• Ability to build relationships and engage with the team to create a positive working environment.
• Supervisors oversee packing, shipping, receiving, order fulfilment, stock handling, storing and inventory.

Our team in Leeds are currently recruiting a Shift Supervisor to join us in our Distribution Centre at Logic Industrial Park, Leeds 9. Our team have gone through a period of change following the on-boarding of a new purpose build facility, to support this we have newly created roles within the team supporting, coaching, managing, coaching and developing our Production Operatives. Previous experience in working within a Distribution or Warehouse facility is essential along with being a people person and managing a team (large or small). Key in this role is the ability to build relationships and engaging with the team to ensure the best working environment whilst having fun along the way. Our Supervisors are key in the management of activities such packing, shipping, receiving, order fulfilment, stock handling, storing, distribution and the inventory. We work to provide a high quality, cost effective, and efficient service to meet current and future demands of our customers within the electronics industry. Our new team members will be able to learn quickly, our facility is new and with this comes teething problems, ad hoc queries regarding process and the system, so you need to be open to a challenge and supporting team members, whilst also part of the process of on-boarding new employees and managing the day to day employee relations activities within your area.
