Job summary

Stagecoach Skegness is seeking a hands-on Shift Fitter/Mechanic to maintain a modern fleet at the Skegness Depot. The role suits experienced PCV engineers or those from HGV, automotive, or plant maintenance backgrounds who want to contribute to safe, reliable transport for the community.

You will work on diagnostics, repairs and preventive maintenance, with opportunities for overtime. The position offers training, a supportive team, and a friendly working environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in a relevant field is desirable, but strong practical experience will be considered.
• Experience with PSV/HGV, trucks, haulage, plant maintenance or automotive backgrounds is valued.
• Proactive approach to safety, teamwork and high standards is essential.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on the fleet per safety standards.
• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults using diagnostic tools.
• Responding to vehicle issues at the depot and on the road; supporting safety and efficiency.
• Training and supporting apprentices and junior team members.
