Job summary

Questech Recruitment Ltd. in Skegness is seeking a skilled PSV Technician to join a busy engineering team. You will service, maintain and repair PSV vehicles to keep the fleet safe and ready for service.

The ideal candidate will have PSV/Bus/HGV technician experience, a Level 3+ qualification in vehicle maintenance, strong diagnostic abilities, and a flexible approach to rotating early/late shifts, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience as a PSV Technician, Bus Mechanic, HGV Technician or similar.
• A relevant qualification in vehicle maintenance and repair, ideally Level 3 or equivalent.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• A good understanding of vehicle inspection and roadworthiness standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work rotating early and late shifts, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on PSV vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Complete vehicle inspections and rectify defects.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT testing.
• Work on engines, transmissions, braking, steering and suspension systems.
• Complete job cards and maintenance records accurately.
• Follow workshop health and safety procedures.
• Work closely with the engineering team to minimise vehicle downtime.

Shifts: Rotating earlies and lates, working 5 days out of 7
