Job Description:

We are working with a market-leading product manufacturer to recruit a Production Shift Supervisor. As a market leader in their field, they are looking for a Production Shift Supervisor who will be an asset to their team, be an effective and proactive team member, and work towards company expectations and targets. The role involves taking manufacturing operations to the next level in production, planning, quality, health & safety, and overall efficiency. Key Responsibilities of the Shift Production Supervisor:

• Leading manufacturing/production operations, covering both automated and labor-intensive processes, with a focus on automation where possible
• Providing prompt support during plant breakdowns
• Ensuring consistent quality by monitoring production output and rejecting non-conforming items
• Promoting lean manufacturing techniques such as 5S, Six Sigma, VSM, SMED, TPM, OEE across operations
• Identifying opportunities to automate processes further and implementing KPIs across the factory

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience in a senior production or manufacturing leadership role, e.g., Operations Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Production Manager, Shift Operations Manager, Shift Production Manager, or Team Leader
• Strong leadership and people management skills to motivate and develop teams
• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or engineering environment, with practical knowledge of continuous improvement tools like Lean and Six Sigma
• Ideally, L3 ILM Leadership/Management qualification, though not essential
