Job summary

NHS Highland is seeking a full-time Maintenance Shift Technician (Multi-Skilled) to cover Raigmore Hospital. You will perform mechanical, electrical and plumbing maintenance and repair of building services, plant and equipment to help deliver safe, reliable patient care.

The role requires an apprenticeship in the trade, a City & Guilds or equivalent, and at least five years’ experience, plus a valid UK driving licence and the ability to work shifts including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must hold a recognised apprenticeship in Electrical, Mechanical or Plumbing with City & Guilds or equivalent.
• Competent working knowledge of other trades for emergency breakdowns.
• Good communication and team working skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical, electrical and plumbing maintenance and repair of building services, plant and equipment.
• Respond to emergencies and operate on a shift rota.
• Prioritise and work with initiative on-site.
