Job summary

NHS Highland is seeking a full-time Multi Skilled Trades Technician to cover Raigmore Hospital, Inverness. The role involves mechanical, plumbing and electrical maintenance of building services, plant and equipment to support patient care.

You will need a recognised trade qualification, a current UK driving licence, and a collaborative, flexible approach. The Estates team offers a 36-hour week, NHS pension, enhanced pay for unsocial hours, and generous annual leave with potential for a 4-day

At NHS Highland we have a full-time vacancy within our Estates Department for a Multi Skilled Trades Technician covering Raigmore Hospital, Inverness.

The successful candidate will carry out mechanical, plumbing and electrical maintenance and repair of building services, plant and equipment, which contributes to the provision of excellent patient care.

What we are looking for

• Mechanical fitter/heating engineer(multi skilled)
• A current UK driving license is essential.
• Applicants must have served a recognised qualification as detailed in the job description.
• Experience in heating services, boiler plant, pumps and ventilation systems within a health care environment would be advantageous.
• A great team player who is self-motivated and comfortable with remote working.
• A flexible approach to work is essential as variations to the standard working week may be necessary, to provide shift cover, and willing to participate in the 1:6 on-call rota.
