Job summary

Brett is seeking a mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer to join our team in the UK. You will maintain plant and facilities, minimise downtime, and drive improvements while upholding SHE standards.

You will report maintenance activities using the CMM system and collaborate across departments to deliver safe, high-quality production. The role requires a time served apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, leadership experience, and good IT skills.

Qualifications

• Time served apprenticeship and NVQ level 3 minimum.
• Proven leadership experience and SHE awareness.
• Hydraulic and pneumatic experience with fault-finding skills.
• Experience with TPM and PPM systems and MIG/MMA welding desirable.
• Good IT skills in Excel, Word and Access; able to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain plant and facilities to a high standard at all times.
• Minimise plant downtime while ensuring safety and cleanliness in the workplace.
• Oversee and improve plant and facility operations while adhering to SHE guidelines.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Accurately report and document all maintenance work using the CMM system.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships across departments.
• Assist in implementing engineering solutions and cost-effective repairs.
• Support production and maintenance teams to exceed performance, quality, and safety targets.
