SL Engineering Consultancy Ltd is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to oversee daily engineering activities, support the maintenance team and ensure production equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Your role includes leading and mentoring the engineering team, organising maintenance to minimise downtime, and hands-on fault finding with machinery. The ideal candidate has an apprenticeship/NVQ Level3 and strong experience in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience mentoring or leading engineering teams.

Aufgaben

• Lead, support and mentor the engineering team.
• Organise and prioritise maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Hands-on with machinery maintenance, fault finding and engineering activities.
• Support planned maintenance and TPM activities.
• Identify recurring equipment failures and implement long-term improvements.
• Conduct root cause analysis.
• Coordinate shift reports and maintenance documentation.
