Job summary

PRS (Phoenix Resourcing Services) is seeking a Shift Mechanical Engineer in London to maintain mechanical building services in a busy healthcare facility. The role offers a £45,000 base with a £2,000 AP uplift on successful completion of Authorised Person training.

You will work a 4 on/4 off pattern (08:00–20:00) with on-call duties every fourth week, and receive funded HTM03/HTM04 training and a clear path to AP status as part of long-term career development.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing is required.
• Experience maintaining HVAC, plumbing and associated mechanical systems.
• Healthcare environment experience is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a shift team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical building services systems.
• Maintain HVAC, heating, water and plumbing systems.
• Complete fault finding, repairs and minor installation works.
• Support compliance with healthcare engineering standards.
• Participate in the call-out rota as required.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with statutory requirements.
