Job summary

Phoenix Resourcing Services in London seeks a Shift Mechanical Engineer to maintain and operate mechanical building services in a busy healthcare facility. This role offers a clear path toward Authorised Person (AP) status and involves 4 days on/off shifts from 08:00 to 20:00, with call-out duties every fourth week.

You will work within a healthcare engineering team, ensuring safe operation of HVAC, plumbing and related systems, while progressing through funded AP training and long-term career

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing
• Strong mechanical maintenance experience within commercial building services
• Experience working on HVAC, plumbing and associated mechanical systems
• Ability to work independently and as part of a shift team
• Hospital or healthcare environment experience desirable but not essential

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical building services systems
• Maintain HVAC, heating, water and plumbing systems
• Complete fault finding, repairs and minor installation works
• Support compliance with healthcare engineering standards
• Participate in the call-out rota as required
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with statutory requirements
