Job summary

PRS in London is seeking a Shift Mechanical Engineer to join a leading healthcare maintenance team. The role focuses on maintenance and operation of mechanical building services in a busy healthcare facility, with a 4 on 4 off days pattern (08:00 - 20:00) and a salary up to £45,000 plus £2,000 AP allowance.

The successful candidate will have an NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing, hands-on experience with HVAC and plumbing systems, and the ability to work independently or in a shift team.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing (minimum requirement).
• Mechanical building services experience in a commercial environment.
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing and related mechanical systems.
• Ability to work independently and within a shift team.
• Healthcare environment experience is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical building services systems.
• Maintain HVAC, heating, water and plumbing systems.
• Complete fault finding, repairs and minor installation works.
• Support compliance with healthcare engineering standards.
• Participate in the call-out rota as required.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with statutory requirements.

We are currently recruiting for a Shift Mechanical Engineer to join a leading healthcare maintenance team in London. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified mechanical engineer looking to develop their career within a critical healthcare environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of mechanical building services equipment, ensuring the safe and efficient running of a busy healthcare facility.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing (minimum requirement)


• Strong mechanical maintenance experience within commercial building services


• Experience working on HVAC, plumbing and associated mechanical systems


• Ability to work independently and as part of a shift team


• Hospital or healthcare environment experience desirable but not essential
