Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. in Bridgwater is seeking a proactive Shift Manager to lead our warehouse operations, ensuring safety, efficiency and service excellence on site.

You’ll manage shift teams on a Monday to Friday, 8-hour shift pattern (06:00–18:00), oversee inventory control using WMS, and coordinate payroll updates in Oracle/Kronos while reporting to senior management and clients. Previous line management experience and a safety-first mindset are essential; CITB MAPS and a valid driving licence

Qualifications

Experience in warehouse operations and line management.
Familiar with Warehouse Management Systems and Microsoft applications.
Strong safety mindset and ability to drive operational excellence.
CITB MAPS certification and a valid driving licence are desirable.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage shift teams, ensuring a safe and productive working environment
Deliver clear, engaging shift briefings to align teams with daily priorities
Oversee inventory control using WMS, scan guns, and tablets for accuracy
Maintain and update payroll systems (Oracle/Kronos) promptly and correctly
Collate and present operational data to senior management and clients
