Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Skelmersdale is seeking an experienced Shift Manager on a 6 month fixed-term contract to support the launch of a new customer operation. The role requires leading the shift through implementation and into operational delivery, building capability and embedding new processes from day one.

You will receive full training and work alongside the leadership team to drive safety, quality and productivity, while developing the shift team and delivering operational priorities.

• Strong operational management experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Confident leading teams through change, implementation or growth phases.
• Ability to coach and develop operational leaders and embed new ways of working.

Responsibilities

• Leading the shift and creating a safe, engaged and high-performing operational environment.
• Playing a key role in the implementation and successful launch of the new customer operation.
• Driving performance across safety, quality, service, productivity and people measures.
• Coaching and developing operational leaders to build capability and embed consistent ways of working.
• Working closely with the wider leadership team and customer stakeholders to resolve challenges and deliver operational priorities.
