Job summary

Iron Mountain is seeking a dynamic Warehousing & Logistics Shift Manager to join our UK Operations team. You will lead daily shift operations, empowering your team to safeguard customers' assets while balancing productivity and quality.

You will coach and develop a high-performing workforce, manage resources and KPIs, and uphold strict safety standards to ensure smooth, secure warehouse operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in shift management or supervision in a fast-paced 3PL warehouse or distribution environment.
• Strong knowledge of WMS, workforce planning, and KPI tracking.
• Proven team leadership with coaching and strong engagement.
• Demonstrated ability to solve operational challenges under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily warehouse shift operations to meet service levels for receipt, storage, and dispatch.
• Develop and mentor an engaged, high-performing workforce focused on safety and quality.
• Plan daily staffing and monitor KPIs while managing shift costs to meet demand.
• Maintain safety and compliance with health, safety and security protocols.
• Drive continuous improvement by resolving bottlenecks and implementing practical changes.

Iron Mountain is seeking a dynamic Warehousing & Logistics Shift Manager to join our Operations team. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to lead daily shift operations that directly safeguard our customers' most vital physical assets. You will empower your team to maintain exceptional quality standards while optimising shift productivity and driving continuous operational improvements. By balancing hand-on leadership with strategic resource planning, your everyday guidance ensures our operational engine runs safely, smoothly, and efficiently.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities)

• Lead shift operations: Oversee daily warehouse processes including the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods to meet service levels.
• Develop operational teams: Coach, mentor, and build an engaged, high-performing workforce focused on safety and quality.
• Manage resources and performance: Plan daily staffing, track key operational KPIs, and manage shift costs to meet demand.
• Maintain safety and compliance: Conduct workplace inspections and ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and security protocols.

What You'll Bring (Skills & Qualifications)

• Several years of experience in shift management or supervision within a fast-paced 3PL warehouse or distribution environment.
• Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), workforce planning, and operational KPI tracking.
• Proven team leadership skills with a track record of coaching employees and building strong team engagement.
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities to resolve operational challenges under pressure.
