Dematic is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of maintenance technicians in a fast-paced, safety‑driven environment at our UK site. You will ensure maintenance plans are executed on time, maintain CMMS records, and oversee procurement of tools and spares while driving continuous improvement.

The role requires strong knowledge of automatic systems, PLCs, and preventive maintenance schedules, with a track record in team leadership and safety compliance.

Formación

• Good understanding of automatic systems and control concepts.
• Ability to read mechanical/electrical/electronic manuals and drawings.
• Knowledge of PLC equipment and safety standards.
• Experience in managing maintenance teams and site safety.
• Familiarity with CMMS and maintenance reporting.
• Understanding of pre-preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules.

Responsabilidades

• Comply with Health & Safety legislation at all times.
• Manage H&S systems and processes; ensure adherence.
• Plan, execute and monitor the maintenance plan.
• Carry out AMHE equipment servicing per manuals and schedules.
• Ensure CMMS records are accurate and reports generated.
• Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians & shift patterns.
• Monitor site inventory and control costs of maintenance.
• Perform scheduled repairs per manufacturer recommendations.
• Diagnose faults in mechanical/electrical/electronic/PLC systems with support.
• Represent the company professionally and maintain customer relations.
• Oversee recruitment, training and development of Dematic staff.
• Capacity and capability planning short/medium/long term.
• Annual appraisal of direct reports.

Tasks and Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities :

• To comply with Health & Safety legislation at all times
• Ensure H&S Systems and processes are managed and adhered to
• Accountable for planning, execution and monitoring of the maintenance plan.
• Carry out AMHE equipment servicing in accordance with the quality standards and time schedules as set out in the equipment manuals.
• Ensure CMMS adoption to accurately record all work undertaken and generate reports.
• Lead and manager team of maintenance technicians & shift pattern
• Monitor site inventory.
• Undertake scheduled repairs in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations and industry standard practices.
• Diagnosis of Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic / PLC / PC faults and subsequent repairs with the support of Service Technical Assistance dept.
• To ensure quality of output at all times
• Involvement in continuous improvement and sales opportunities
• To represent the company in a professional manner at all times and maintain customer relations.
• To adhere to the Quality processes and procedures as set out by the company.
• Evaluate risks of overdue maintenance and change management/prioritization of a new maintenance plan
• Ensure to main control of the costs to execute the maintenance program.
• Define the lists of required tool & ppe for his/her personnel.
• Determine the required spares for the planned and/or unplanned outages.
• Write up periodical reports about the service activities.
• Oversee the recruitment, training and development of all Dematic Resident Site based employees.
• Short-, medium- and long-term capacity and capability management
• Annual appraisal of direct reports

Desired Experience:

• To have a good understanding of automatic systems.
• A working understanding of Mechanical, Electrical & Electronic technical manuals & drawings
• Good understanding of PLC equipment
• Working at height
• First Aid trained
• Previous experience of working with various conveyor systems
• PC literacy
• Understanding of pre-preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules
• Previous experience in team management / leading teams preferable
• Knowledge of applicable Health and Safety regulations
