Job Title: HVAP Shift Manager

Location: Slough, United Kingdom

Salary: Up to GBP63,000 per annum

Shift Pattern: Continental

Are you ready to embark on an exciting journey with a cutting-edge data centre in Slough? We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HVAP (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Plumbing) Shift Manager to join our dynamic team. As a newly built facility, this is a unique opportunity to be part of shaping and maintaining a state-of-the-art infrastructure that drives innovation and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee the operation and maintenance of all HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems, as well as plumbing systems, within the data centre.
  2. Lead a team of skilled technicians and engineers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and adherence to safety protocols.
  3. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to optimise system reliability and minimise downtime.
  4. Monitor environmental conditions within the facility and implement appropriate measures to maintain optimal operational parameters.
  5. Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure timely resolution of issues and effective management of resources.
  6. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inventory, and performance metrics.
  7. Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements, and incorporate relevant advancements into operational strategies.
Requirements:
  1. Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a data centre or critical facility environment.
  2. In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing systems, and associated control systems.
  3. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and engage team members effectively.
  4. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
  5. Familiarity with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  6. Flexibility to work on a continental shift pattern, including nights and weekends, as required.
