Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is hiring a Shift Manager for the National Uniform Management Services (NUMS) operation in Northampton. You will lead day-to-day shift activity across warehousing, distribution, returns and garment management to deliver operational excellence.

You’ll coach managers and staff to drive engagement and performance, monitor KPI data, ensure safety, and pursue continuous improvement in a permanent, full-time role with on-site benefits.

Responsibilities

Are you an experienced operations leader with a background in warehousing, logistics or supply chain management? Do you enjoy leading teams, driving performance and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment?

This Shift Manager role within DHL Supply Chain's National Uniform Management Services (NUMS) operation is responsible for leading shift activity across warehousing, distribution, returns and garment management, ensuring operational excellence, safety, customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead and manage day-to-day shift operations, ensuring service levels, KPIs and customer expectations are achieved.
• Coach, develop and support managers and operational colleagues to drive engagement and high performance.
• Maintain high standards of Health & Safety compliance through audits, investigations and safe working practices.
• Monitor operational performance, analyse KPI data and implement actions to improve productivity, quality and cost efficiency.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to reduce waste and enhance operational effectiveness.

• Professionals with strong customer focus, stakeholder management skills and the ability to respond effectively to changing priorities.
• Individuals with a continuous improvement mindset, ideally with Lean, Six Sigma or operational excellence experience.
