Job summary

Pioneer Selection Ltd is seeking a Shift Maintenance Engineer (Nights) in Andover, Hampshire. You will perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on production equipment in a fast-paced FMCG setting, driving uptime and reliability during night shifts.

The role requires Level 3 Engineering qualification (Electrical bias preferred) and hands-on experience, with LT0 compliance and RCA awareness. Competitive package included.

Qualifications

• Electrical or mechanical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance in a fast-paced factory.
• Level 3 Engineering qualification (Electrical preferred / electrical bias).

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical maintenance, fault-finding and planned preventive maintenance on production machinery and site equipment.
• Ensure maximum uptime, reliability and performance on night shifts.
• Carry out RCA and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Record downtime and maintenance data to improve OEE.

Job Title: Shift Maintenance Engineer (Nights)

Location: Andover, Hampshire

Salary: £54,000 (including shift allowance) + annual bonus + excellent benefits

Shift Pattern: Sunday - Thursday PERM NIGHTS

Job Role of the Shift Maintenance Engineer

You will be responsible for carrying out electrical maintenance, fault-finding and planned preventative maintenance on a range of production machinery and site equipment—ensuring maximum uptime, reliability and performance on nights.

Sector - Factory Maintenance (Food/FMCG Manufacturing)

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Shift Maintenance Engineer

• Electrical or mechanical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment
• Hands-on experience with planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance in a fast-paced factory
• Level 3 Engineering qualification (Electrical preferred / electrical bias)

Requirements for the Shift Maintenance Engineer

• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills (single phase / three phase)
• Experience with motors, inverters and reading/updating electrical & mechanical drawings
• Mechanical competence with pneumatics and hydraulics
• Confident working safely to site procedures (LOTO / Lock-off Tag-out) and H&S standards
• Ability to support continuous improvement and carry out Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
• Comfortable recording/analysing downtime and maintenance data to improve OEE
