Job summary

Pioneer Selection is seeking a Shift Maintenance Engineer (Nights) in Andover, Hampshire. The role involves electrical and mechanical maintenance on production machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with a view to improving uptime and performance on night shifts.

The position offers a permanent contract with a competitive benefits package including an annual bonus and ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Electrical and mechanical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Experience with planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance in a fast-paced factory.
• Level 3 Engineering qualification (Electrical preferred / electrical bias).

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical maintenance, fault-finding and planned preventative maintenance on production machinery and site equipment to maximise uptime, reliability and performance on nights.
• Support safe working practices and maintain compliance with site procedures (LOTO) and HS standards.
• Record and analyse downtime and maintenance data to drive improvements in OEE.

Job Title: Shift Maintenance Engineer (Nights)
Location: Andover, Hampshire
Salary: £54,000 (including shift allowance) + annual bonus + excellent benefits
Shift Pattern: Sunday Thursday PERM NIGHTS

Job Role of the Shift Maintenance Engineer

A fantastic opportunity which is not to be missed by a strong Shift Maintenance Engineer has come to the forefront. This is a brilliant opportunity to work in a fast-paced, automated manufacturing environment, with ongoing investment and clear progression routes (including the potential to move into Lead Engineer).

You will be responsible for carrying out electrical maintenance, fault-finding and planned preventative maintenance on a range of production machinery and site equipment ensuring maximum uptime, reliability and performance on nights.

Sector Factory Maintenance (Food/FMCG Manufacturing)

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Shift Maintenance Engineer

• Electrical or mechanical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment
• Hands-on experience with planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance in a fast-paced factory
• Level 3 Engineering qualification (Electrical preferred / electrical bias)

Requirements for the Shift Maintenance Engineer

• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills (single phase / three phase)
• Experience with motors, inverters and reading/updating electrical & mechanical drawings
• Mechanical competence with pneumatics and hydraulics
• Confident working safely to site procedures (LOTO / Lock-off Tag-out) and H&S standards
• Ability to support continuous improvement and carry out Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
• Comfortable recording/analysing downtime and maintenance data to improve OEE
