Interaction Recruitment PLC is seeking a hands-on Shift Engineer to provide first-class mechanical and electrical support across PET extrusion, thermoforming and manufacturing equipment at a Bridgwater site in Somerset, UK. The role is permanent and involves 4 on/4 off shifts with days and nights in a 12-hour pattern.

You will diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical breakdowns, perform planned and reactive maintenance, and drive continuous improvement and reliability across operating lines.

Qualifications

• Multi-skilled engineering experience with strong mechanical & electrical skills.
• Manufacturing, FMCG, plastics, packaging or process industry experience.
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving ability.
• PLC, PET extrusion or thermoforming experience is highly desirable.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose and repair mechanical & electrical breakdowns
• Complete planned and reactive maintenance
• Carry out root cause analysis and eliminate repeat failures
• Support start-ups, changeovers, upgrades and new equipment
• Drive reliability, TPM and continuous improvement
