Job summary
Interaction Recruitment PLC is seeking a hands-on Shift Engineer to provide first-class mechanical and electrical engineering support across PET extrusion, thermoforming and manufacturing equipment. You will diagnose and repair breakdowns, fault-find across motors and controls, and perform planned and reactive maintenance while driving TPM and continuous improvement.
The role includes 4 on/4 off days and nights with a competitive salary.
Qualifications
- Multi-skilled engineering experience with mechanical & electrical skills.
- Manufacturing, FMCG, plastics, packaging or process industry experience.
- Good fault-finding and problem-solving ability.
- HNC, apprenticeship or equivalent engineering qualification.
- PLC, PET extrusion or thermoforming experience is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical & electrical breakdowns.
- Fault-find across motors, drives, sensors, pneumatics, hydraulics & controls.
- Complete planned and reactive maintenance.
- Carry out root cause analysis and eliminate repeat failures.
- Support start-ups, changeovers, upgrades and new equipment.
- Drive reliability, TPM and continuous improvement.
